Goodbye 2025
Some big and little moments from last year
My word for 2025 was freedom. I was craving adventure, spontaneity, exploration and more freedom with my time. It was an incredible year absolutely filled to the brim with joy and celebration and I could not feel luckier.
Here is just a teeny tiny glimpse at some amazing moments - big and small.
The year of the wedding š I was lucky enough to attend 8 weddings (9 if you count a fake one we threw for some friends whose wedding we couldnāt attend; complete with an Almost Married cake and suits & dresses from the op shop). I already feel so sad that Iāll probably never have that many weddings again. I LOVE weddings. I cry at every single one and honestly nothing makes you feel happier and more grateful to be alive than to watch your best friends get married, then drink a hundred glasses of champagne, listen to people say the nicest and most thoughtful words theyāll probably ever say and then scream your heart out on a dance floor.
I ran a half marathon!

Started playing tennis weekly on a Monday - weāre barely improving but the goss and catch ups have been top notch
Saturday morning Swim, Brunch & Quiz Clubā¢ļø became the sweetest and now permanent tradition
Spent two and half months living and working remotely from London and Europe⦠are you kidding me! A once in a lifetime opportunity that really does show if you want to do something, you should just askā¦
Some extra, extra special highlights from this trip (it was all amazing š)
Drinking martinis in New York (manifesting living there at some point), visiting Boston and visiting Nantucket
A girls long weekend to Marseille to celebrate Maddieās hens-not-hens
Being back in London and lime biking to a pub somewhere East at about 6pm when itās 25 degrees and youāve got another 4 hrs of sunshine and youāre about to have a drink with an old friend on the footpath
Riding on the back of a motorbike through Ponza in Italy and drinking perfect aperol spritzes
Staying at Teranka Hotel in Formentera (my birthday present!) - hands down nicest place Iāve ever stayed
A solo trip to Greece on the way home

Coming back from Europe and ending the lease on our old flat which I felt like a ungrateful person for always whinging about but turns out it actually was a sh*thole and now jāadore our new apartment which is full of light instead of road noise & mould <3
Had a truly joyful experience listening to the book I Regret Almost Everything by Keith McNally, my favourite book of the year
Finished 12 weeks of The Artistās Way and did a 4 week writing course
Successfully stuck to what I have named my Hair Health Journey by not colouring and actually growing out my hair! Turns out bleaching your hair really does damage it. Miss being properly blonde though ā¤ļøāš©¹
Went to Byron Bay on our Annual Girls Trip with my oldest friends
All of the hens, pregnancies, promotions, engagements and new babies that I was privileged enough to witness and celebrate
Topped it off with the most wholesome offline 2 week holiday in NZ, post coming on that soon š
Writing this has made me feel so insanely grateful (and kinda boastful but we persist) . Thank you so much for reading. I hope youāve had a calm and joyful start to your year.
Going to try & post even more on substack this year. Keep me accountable!
See you in the next one.

Just discovered your substackš«¶š¼ looking forward to reading more of your work
Love this and you!!
