My 32nd Birthday
A long weekend affair
I turned 32 last week and had a self declared Birthday-Long-Weekend and it was just lovely.
It started at 6.30am with a sunrise swim & coffee with the girls. I’ve merged some old and new friends in the last few months and it has been so special. We got a beautiful pink sky & later that day I saw the local news instagram post the photo below… turns out there was a photographer on the beach that morning 🥹 This felt very me-coded and I was obviously delighted to be papped.
I got absolutely spoiled with presents, flowers and a white chocolate & raspberry cake. That night I went with my oldest friends to a little neighbourhood restaurant in Blues Point that is now a certified birthday tradition. We sat on the street, sipped margaritas and the whole restaurant sung happy birthday to me. Divine.

The next few days featured a bunch of lovely little moments:
An impromptu coffee with my boyfriend who had to swing by my office
A margarita at our local and fish & chips for dinner
Sitting at the chefs table for lunch at Freds in Paddington - enjoyed a spicy margarita, oysters, fougasse, snapper, zucchini, tagliatelle, potatoes w/ french onion dip (!!) and a bottle of chablis
People watched with a spritz at The Royal
Snuggled up on the couch with the girls watching a moving and eating homemade cupcakes
Had my parents over and got my Dad to fix, measure & advise on all my home improvement ideas and sent Mum home with two ceramic pieces she will be mending for me <3
A biscoff acai bowl
Speaking to my Grandma on the phone who turned 97 a few days after me. She told me her and her friends had polished off a bottle of Bollinger at lunch. Goals.

Some things I’m looking forward to this year:
My Dad living in the same country for the next 6 months
Meeting the babies my best friends will be having
Being in Sydney during Winter to see the whales migrating
Wearing my new knee high boots
Life is good. Thanks for reading.
See you in the next one,
Bridget

Sounds gorgeous. Wish I was there to celebrate.
Happy Birthday sis! Great to read and be inspired by your adventures, cheers to many more this year!
