I’m one week away from my big US / UK / Europe sojourn and I couldn’t be more excited. We moved out of our apartment a week ago and I want to remember it with fondness despite all the reasons we chose to end the lease in the first place (noisy, mouldy, old 🙃)
Here’s some things I’ll miss:
The kinda-retro/coastal/rustic bright blue tiles and wooden mirror in the bathroom which I’m now regretting not getting a pic of 🥲
When the bedroom door was open, you could lie in bed and see the front door. I loved when one or the other were leaving while the other was in bed and making heart hands at each other 🫶
When I’d had an active/productive Saturday morning and then no plans until the evening and I’d lie post-shower in bed for hours with the sun streaming in and have an afternoon nap before going out that night
The window-sill inside the shower; there’s nothing like a breeze on your face and steaming hot water pouring down your back (and on that note, boiling hot water in about 2 seconds and perfect shower water pressure)
Lap dinners every single night because we didn’t have room for a table - this kinda stuff keeps you humble
Probably not going to miss it, but our coin-operated shared laundry was kinda old school and I liked meeting the neighbours in there <3
Being a few minutes walk to the beach !!
I’m manifesting a new place in the same suburb for when we return - this is the moodboard ✨
Thanks for reading,
See you in the next one!
Loved this one Bridgie
